CAIRO

Cairo, literally translated as the “victorious”, was founded by the Muslim rulers in 972 AC, and ever since has been the capital of Egypt. The city of thousand minarets, the mother of all cities, the heart of the Arab world, are all the synonyms of Cairo. Abundant with cultural and historic and monuments from different eras, a visit to Cairo, the second largest city in Africa, is worth it. The pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Egyptian National Museum and its incomparable treasures, Coptic churches and the famous Khan el Khalili bazaar are few examples of what Cairo has to offer.

HURGHADA

Hurghada is one of the largest and most popular Red Sea destinations in Egypt. Back in the 1980s, Hurghada was just a settlement for fishermen. Today Hurghada’s population is 380,000 inhabitants. Over the past 30 years, it evolved into a world-class tourist destination. Hurghada, with its beautiful beaches and the colorful underwater flora and fauna of the Red Sea, is a holiday paradise for divers from all over the world. Its pleasant weather and warm water all year long makes it attractive to millions of beach holidaymakers. The Visitors of Hurghada can plan an all day trip from Hurghada to Luxor or Cairo to admire the ancient Egyptian monuments Hurghada is known for its watersports activities, nightlife and warm weather, with a temperature of 30C (86F) most of the year. Holiday villages and hotels provide aquatic sport facilities for sailboarders, yachtsmen, scuba divers and snorkelers. Numerous Europeans, mainly Germans, Russians and Italians spend their Christmas and New Year holidays in the city. Hurghada stretches for about 36 km (22 mi) along the seashore. LUXOR

ABU SIMBEL

The rock temples of Abu Simbel are among the greatest. Monuments of ancient Egypt. These temples of Pharaoh Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, built in the 13th century BC, are located about 280 km south of Aswan. Thanks to international cooperation, these unique temples were salvaged from the rising waters of Lake Nasser behind the High Dam in a nearly 20-year operation.
